A couple weeks ago, we decided to get a kitten. Well once we saw how cute they were, we had to get both sisters. Our rational was that the bigger (existing) cats would be mean to them so a duo was needed. They are absolutely the cutest things until they climb up my curtains!
Introducing, Lee Lee the calico and Luv the grey and white (now 10 weeks old).
Sweetest faces EVER!

Yesterday afternoon, the kids and I took off for a quickie trip to the beach for an early dinner at one of our favorite places to eat, Mo's. Amazing what 6 hours away from the city can do for you.
Food was as great as the view from our table.
Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, Oregon
The drive to the coast here from Portland is a quick (75 miles) and filled with a highway span through incredible forests.
Tillamook County Forest (Elevation 1309)
As a city girl at heart, it is very calming on the drive home to see the rolling fields of wild colors.
You know you're almost home when Mt. Hood is in the view. It was warm and hazy last night but if you look close you can see my beautiful mountain.
